A large population of hungry deer will eat almost any plant available. Some plants may be sampled but not destroyed and others will be destroyed in a single season. Native plants do not seem to be as attractive to deer as the more exotic and tasty plants you get from the nursery. I'd use a repellant such as Deer Away. It is a product you spray on the foliage and it works well but must be reapplied after rain. Give it a try. I hope it works for you!
