I have patches of strawy-thatchy looking round growths in my yard, they are spreading all over and come back stronger each year. This started just 2 years ago, maybe something in the last batch of grass seed that is ruining my yard? I have pix of these, can I send them to you? I need to know what this is. I cant be digging up all the spots, too many, hundreds. Help!!!!

I have no way of receiving photos so I can't identify the problem but if you dig up one of the patches and take it to your local Cooperative Extension office, they can diagnose the problem. When taking a sample, include some healthy lawn along with some of the diseased lawn. Plant pathologists can look at the samples under a microscope and determine just what the problem is. They will also suggest control measures. Best wishes with your lawn!
