I have a rocky hill with poor soil. What can I plant to keep it from washing? |
If you don't mind a "wild" look, crown vetch might be a good choice. It is a perennial ground cover growing to a heightof 18" or so, commonly used as erosion control. It is hardy, and can withstand the conditions in your growing region, and provides a beautiful show of small, pink and purple flowers throughout the summer. If the site is sunny, and you want a slightly more "manicured" look, you can try daylilies. If it is shady, try periwinkle. Enjoy your garden! |
