The Q&A Archives: Perennials

Question: I have a partial wrap around porch that the north side of house is shade and the west in late afternoon sun. If I take the deminsions in can someone in gardening help me pick out plants?

Answer: I'm sure the local garden staff will be happy to help you choose plants. In the meantime, you can look around at all the offerings in the garden center. All should have tags indicating the best exposure to sun or shade and the mature size of the plant. That will give you an idea of how far apart to plant and how many you'll need to fill a certain space. Then you can choose your favorites or ask the staff for more ideas. Best wishes with your new garden!
