The Q&A Archives: fertilizers

Question: What is the main difference between homogeneous blend fertilizers and simple mix fertilizers?

Answer: There really isn't a whole lot of difference. Fertilizers are mixes of NPK, each in individual granules. Homogeneous fertilizer has the same elements, they are powdered together and then formed into granules which each contain all 3 main nutrients. Your plants won't care, as long as they get the NPK they need.
