The Q&A Archives: Bugs Eating Tomatoes

Question: Bugs are eating my poor tomatos to a pulp! What shoud I do?

Answer: The most damaging pest of tomatoes is the fruitworm. You can control these pests with a botanical insecticide called Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis). Be sure to rotate your tomato crops because the adults lay eggs in the soil and when the eggs hatch, they can climb right up the stems of your tomatoes!
