Can you please tell me when the best time of the year to plant crepe myrtle trees is. I was thinking of buying a couple for someone for their birthday next week but I was told that I might should check to see if it is too late to plant them now.

Spring and fall are the best months to plant landscape trees and shrubs. You can plant a crape myrtle now or anytime before hot summer weather arrives. Crape myrtles bloom on new growth in the spring. Planting now should give enough time for the roots to become established before the floral display. Enjoy!
