The Q&A Archives: Holly trees and bushes

Question: We just moved to St. Paul MN a few months ago and wanted to know if there was any type of holly bushes that would survive the MN cold weather?

Answer: Hollies are hardy to your region so choose the ones you like best. Your local garden center should have quite a variety to choose from. You'll need both a male and a female holly in order to have berries so be sure to find compatible hollies (such as Blue Boy and Blue Girl). Enjoy your new landscape!
