The Q&A Archives: Cutting back

Question: Roses was not cut back in the fall. Would it be time to cut them back now or in March.
Thank you

Answer: Roses are traditionally pruned back in March, just as new growth begins. If your weather has been warm and you already see new growth, go ahead and prune now. Otherwise, wait until you see the leaf buds beginning to swell. Hope you have some beautiful roses this year!
