| I transplanted some mature rhodos and azaleas early last fall. Their soil conditions have not changed, nor has light. They seem to have weathered the winter fine, and I'm wondering if now is the time to feed them. |
| If they are doing fine (which it sounds like they are), I would not fertilize them at this time. Fertilizing them might force some rapid growth which would not necessarily be good for them. You want them to get their roots established before they put on too much top growth. Were they my rhodies, I would just be sure they had lots of good, rich leaf mold as mulch. Also, be sure to keep them well watered through the spring and summer, especially if there are times when rain is lacking. |
