The Q&A Archives: Seed Starting

Question: i feel like a complete idiot. i have never planted any kind of seed. i live in se michigan nand i will be getting 5 of the datura seeds. i have no clue what to do. can you help?

Answer: There is no time like the present to learn something new and seed starting is really quite simple. Datura seeds should germinate in 21-42 days if kept at 55F-65F degrees. Sow seeds 1/8 inch deep in moistened seed starting mix and cover the seed flats or pots with plastic wrap to help retain moisture and humidity. The seeds should sprout within 6 weeks of sowing. Best wishes with your project!
