What is an aubergine? It is in a recipe that says that the "stripey sort have fewer seeds." It also says that it is one of the vegetables brought to Spain by the Arabs.

Aubergine is French for eggplant. Burpee's 'Purple Bush' are white skinned with a purple blush - maybe that qualifies as a 'stripey sort'. Order online at: http://www.burpee.com or order toll-free (800) 888-1447.
