| Pines can suffer from drought and from insect and disease problems so I don't know what to suggest. Make sure that your pines are getting adequate water and inspect the branches and the needles for signs of insect or disease problems. If you find anything suspicious, send the details in a new question to this forum and we will do our best to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately pines do not resprout from old wood, so it may not fill in the way you would like it to. The best it will do is to direct new growth on existing live branches and fill in somewhat that way. It may take several years before you see a real change; perhaps you will come to think of it as "picturesque" the way it is. |
