March Rose Pruning - Knowledgebase Question

my zone is set up in my profile, I live in Virginia but in the library looking up pruning roses I get California etc. is the above accurate for my area or should it be done earlier?

Your frost dates and growing season is similar to those in California, so rose pruning can be done in March in your region. I usually wait until I see some activity - swollen buds on the canes - before I begin pruning my roses. You can do the same, or you can prune them while they are dormant. Either way they will be ready to grow and perform beautifully for you this summer. Enjoy!
