I have bemurada grass in front yard but in a 5' by 5' spot under a tree it want grow. What can I put in that area to grow grass? |
Unless you have at least 1/2 day of sun in your yard, grasses will struggle so instead of trying to grow grass, why not grow groundcovers and use mulch instead? One of the most shade tolerant grasses are the fescues, and you can give fescue a try, but groundcovers such as wild ginger, goutweed, ivy or pachysandra will look better and won't require mowing. Check local nurseries for the groundcovers mentioned as well as others that grow well in your area. Best wishes with your landscape! |
