| I have used coffee grinds in my garden for the past couple of years and have gotten better results. However,last year I did not and did not see the yield in my tomatoes and bell peppers. Someone told me that coffee grinds are only good for the foilage. What have you heard and how often should I put grinds into the soil if you recommend this? |
| Coffee grinds do contain some nutrients and so can be useful to plants. You could certainly compost them, or you could use them in small quantities scattered among the plants in the garden. Used in that manner they will still eventually break down and help feed the soil. The bottom line is that they will provide some nitrogen and are an organic amendment so you can use them on an annual basis without harm. Hope this answers your question! |
