We have a lot of juniper-type trees in the area (I think the name is arbustus) that are dripping sap. (Literally, dripping sap.)I've lived in this house 12 years and haven't noticed it before. Do you know anything about it?

Arbutus trees do not normally drip sap so I suspect the sap is coming from an injury - either insect or disease or even mechanical wounds. Inspect the plants for signs of insects or insect eggs or for evidence of fungus. You might want to take a sample of the problem to your local Cooperative Extension office for positive diagnosis and control strategies. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Best wishes with your trees!
