I have numerous ginger plants in my Camarillo Ca. yard, they are very prolific in growth and blooms. Do they get trimmed down in winter? the tops are all brown w/ dead flowers.

You can cut the dead top growth back to a few inches above the soil and they will produce new stems, foliage and flowers in the spring when the weather warms. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
