I have an area outside my back door that goes about 25 feet long into the back yard. This area is mostly shade and there are some large oak trees.
When we moved here, there were white rocks that seemed to disappear a little each year. Now only the round pavers show. In the spring this area gets wets, and muddy.I want to make a path that will last
what do you suggest?

The rocks disappear because no foundation was placed beneath them. You can lay weed barrier cloth down on the soil and place new rocks on top. The weed barrier will keep the rocks from sinking down into the soil.
