I bought two red abyssinian bananas last summer at my local Home Depot and since then they've died back to nothing. i put them in a around 50 degree back room before it got to cold. What i wanted to know is if they will come back, or if they where sold as annuals in my zone 8-9 area. Thanks for your time

As long as the roots do not freeze, they should sprout new stems and leaves when you take them back outdoors in late spring. Red bananas are among the most cold hardy banana plants so yours should be perennial as long as you take them indoors each winter. Best wishes with your plants!
