The Q&A Archives: yellow leaves of key lime

Question: we have a key lime tree but leaves turn pale yellow but they have lots of buds coming out what should i do ? do we needto spray something?

Answer: Citrus trees are heavy feeders and it sounds as though yours needs some fertilizer. Use a formulation for citrus and apply in amounts as listed on the fertilizer label. If your soil is alkaline, they might need some iron sulphate, too. Again, apply according to label directions. The leaves should green up a few weeks after feeding. Best wishes with your key lime tree!
