I purchased a magnolia tree and planted it on my front lawn. I've lived in the house 3 years and the tree hasn't grown and inch. I want it to look like the one in the picture that came hanging on it :(...help please |
Some magnolias grow at a fast rate and others grow at a slower pace. They typically grow about 10 feet in 15 years. You have to give your tree about a year to become established in the ground and then you can expect some growth. No growth at all indicates that it is struggling, either with the climate or a lack of water or nutrients. Be sure to water your tree deeply once each week and feed it every spring with an acidified fertilizer such as Miracle Gro. Best wishes with your tree! |
