| Summersweet (Clethra alnifolia) will grow in a wide range of conditions. They thrive in sun or shade, and are hardy in zones 3-9. They are very pest and disease resistant, and will even grow in heavy soil, sandy soil, acidic wet soils as well as areas with salt spray. What a shrub!!! I bought two for my own garden this season! |
