i just moved into an appartment, and want to try gardening for the first time. I bought a few dahila bulbs and like to try to give them a try . The garden expert at my local store was helpful, but was wondering if you had tips ... |
Dahlias do well in containers, especially the smaller or border type dahlias. In fact, this is a good strategy if you have limited space. They do best in containers that hold at least 12?-14? of potting medium. Smaller containers will require more frequent watering. Always used the highest quality potting mix that you can find. If your container dahlias are regularly wilting even when watered regularly, move them to a location with less afternoon sun to keep them from overheating. Aside from these cautions, your dahlias should be perfectly happy in containers. Best wishes with your dahlias! |
