The Q&A Archives: Tree Type

Question: I bought a Semi-Dwarf North Star Cherry tree at your store.I did not notice on the tag at time it says

Answer: I believe the plant tag is incorrect. NORTH STAR is a natural-dwarf sour cherry that is extremely hardy. It bears full-size, deep mahogany fruit. The flesh is dark red, juicy and meaty. It is a very productive tree that is self-fruitful. An early ripener that is excellent for pies, cooking or freezing. Ripens June. Self-fertile means you do not need a second sour cherry tree for pollination.
