I have a larg potted Benjamin Fig which I keep on on open porch. During a recent freeze, the plant was extensively damaged. Most of the branches are brown and appear to be dead, but there are some branches with quite a few green leaves and sings of

Your ficus should make a full recovery and eventually you will want to prune out the winter kill. I'd wait until new growth appears - which may be retarded by several months. Once you know what is dead and what is alive, you can remove the dead branches and prune the remaining plant into a more symmetrical shape. Best wishes with your ficus!
