The Q&A Archives: Companion to Peas

Question: what should be planted next to peas?

Answer: Lettuce/greens and peas get along well, because they both enjoy cool soil and ample moisture. Greens tend to need a lot of nitrogen, and the peas "fix" nitrogen from the air in their roots, and can pass it along.
