I have a semi-dwarf orange & lemon tree on my patio (6-9 hrs sun) in LARGE pots. They both have vigiorous new growth, get loaded with blooms, develope the beginings of tiny fruit, that never develope and just fall off! What am I doing wrong?

When tiny fruits abort, it means they have not been properly pollinated. If there are no insects visiting the flowers, pollen won't be transferred. You can try pollinating the open flowers by hand. Use a soft artist's paintbrush and visit each open flower, gently dusting the insides of each flower. With any luck you will transfer pollen and each flower will develop into a fruit. Best wishes with your project
