I'm told spring is the time to apply weed control to my perenial flower garden. Spring in Wisconsin can be tricky. Yesterday it was 60 and tolday it is 35. Can you tell me when to apply it, what to apply and how much and how often to effectively control weeds.

It's early in the growing season so you are probably thinking about using a pre-emergent herbicide such as Preen. You can apply it now to prevent weeds from popping up. If there are any weeds currently in the bed, you'll need to pull them out before applying a pre-emergent. One application should control weeds all season long, but read the label and apply as often as recommended. Best wishes with your garden!
