The Q&A Archives: Garden fertilizer overkill?

Question: I purchased your organic compost and cow manure

Answer: It is difficult to apply too much organic fertilizer so I don't think you've done any damage to your plants. A 2-2-2 is a very low ratio of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. Chemical fertilizers typically have 5 to 10 times that amount of NPK. Now that you have fed your plants you can hold off on additional feeding for the season. Best wishes with your garden!
