I'm looking for low maintenance, drought tolerant plants for a part sun area. Preferably less than two feet tall. Flowering plants would be a plus

Some of the best choices for low maintenance, drought tolerant plants are Texas natives. They adapt well to a wide range of growing conditions and the following are best in part shade/part sun exposures:

Cardinal Flower; Inland Sea Oats; Cedar Sage Beautyberry; Lyre Leaf Sage Mountain Sage; Pigeonberry Thoroughwort; Prairie Phlox Purple Winecup; Red Columbine White Winecup; Violet Katie Petunia; Turk's Cap River Fern, and Yellow Columbine.

Best wishes with your garden!
