The Q&A Archives: getting rid of alcaline

Question: How do I get rid of alcaline in the yard it is killing my lawn and shrubs and is also eting up the cement

Answer: I suspect the alkaline water (both rainwater and from the tap) is what is causing erosion of your cement. There's not much I can recommend that you do to stop this process but perhaps your local Cooperative Extension office has some ideas. Contact them at Colorado State University Extension, 2775 US Hwy 50, Grand Junction, CO. 81503, voice: 970-244-1840
