The Q&A Archives: erosion

Question: how do I stop erosion near creek in my back yard? Will extra plantings stop this problem?

Answer: Choose ground covering plants such as pachysandra or ajuga (carpet bugle) to help slow or stop erosion. Any ground hugging plant with a fibrous root system will help knit the soil together to keep it from eroding. Best wishes with your landscape!
