The Q&A Archives: vegetable garden

Question: when is the best time to start planting a vegetable garden in tennessee.

Answer: Cool season veggies such as peas, broccoli, cabbage and lettuces can be sown in March but warm season vegetables should not be planted until the first week of May. By then the threat of frost is gone and the soil has had a chance to warm up. Best wishes with your garden!
