The Q&A Archives: How Much Sod to a Pallet?

Question: I am trying to start my lawn using sod and I'd like to know how many pallettes of sod will be adequate for a 2100 sq ft lawn?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer: A standard pallet holds 500 square feet of sod. You'll want a little extra for piece work if your landscape has curves. Four pallets will be more than adequate. Or, you may be able to purchase 3 and a half pallets if your store will let you purchase that way. Best wishes with your new sod!
