If you take a cutting from a Juniperus Skyrocket, can you get a sprawling plant from it? I think that if you take the cutting from the terminal leader you will get an upright; if you take the cutting from a lateral growth you can get a sprawler, as in a Horizontilas. Can you help me as I've looked everywhere and this is as close as I could get. |
If you take a cutting from a Juniperus Skyrocket, you'll get an exact clone of the plant. If it's an upright plant, you'll get an upright plant. If it's a sprawler, you'll get a sprawler. Where you take the cutting is only important in one way: make sure that the cutting you take has the potential to develop roots and to grow. Propagating a plant by taking a horizontal branch from an upright plant will still result in an upright plant. |
