I have a Floratam Lawn that got pretty much ruined due to illness in the family and not being able to take care of it properly. It has lots of weeds and also different grasses have grown in from my neighbor, looks like possible some Bermuda.I tried last season to use Scotts weed and feed and that didn't work. I then tried Image by diluting it in half. Nothing helps. What should I use?

I would avoid the weed and feed products on Floratam lawns. The best weed control is a dense, healthy turf. Do all you can to develop a good, dense turf (regular mowing, deep infrequent watering and moderate fertilizing) and over a year or two you will eliminate the vast majority of weeds in your turf.

If your lawn is in really bad shape, no matter what you do, it may be that the only solution is to remove it and start all over again. This can be expensive and time consuming, but sometimes renovation is the only way.

Best wishes with your lawn!
