The Q&A Archives: Pruning Citrus Trees

Question: When is the best time to prune orange trees and grapefruit trees?

Answer: You can prune citrus almost any time from March to August, but try to time the pruning to just prior to blooming. Remove dead, diseased or crisscrossing limbs to open the center of the tree and cut back branches that are getting too large or are in the way. Best wishes with your citrus trees.
