We had our plum tree pruned by a supposed expert and he did an awful job. All the branches were too high then when the fruit came in the summer they were so heavy that some broke. Do you have a how to? when is the right time?

I can provide a website with lots of helpful information and sketches about fruit tree pruning and training. http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/...

After you've read the publication you might have a better idea of what your "expert" did and why. You'll also read some suggestions on how to get your tree back into shape.

Hope it is helpful!
