What kind of plant I can use for the border? Right now, we have what we call |
Border plants are typically less than 12 inches tall. With this in mind, here are a few favorite plants for Texas: Hinckley's columbine (Aquilegia hinckleyana); Indian blanket (Gaillardia sp.); Perennial verbena1 (Verbena sp.); Sweet violet (Viola odorata); Chrysanthemum. Or, if you want your Monkey Grass to stay, you can brighten up in between plants with some seasonal annuals. Plant pansies in the spring and fall (they like cool weather) and petunias in the summertime. Best wishes with your border! |
