| Alfalfa was recommended for my roses. Can it be used also to any kind of plants, like gardenia, hydrangea, hollyhock, etc. thank you |
| While alfalfa pellets won't hurt your other plants, they won't do much to help them, either. As it disintegrates, alfalfa yields an alcohol, triacontanol, which roses seem to appreciate. They respond by producing new growth from the bud union, which makes roses produce more flowering stems. It won't have the same effect on other plants, but it won't hurt them, either. |
