The Q&A Archives: grass

Question: I cannot get grass to grow in my back yard. it is shady and I have tried everything. what should I do?

Answer: Unless you have at least 1/2 day of sun in your backyard, grasses simply won't thrive. You might want to grow groundcovers instead. Try groundcovers such as wild ginger, goutweed, ivy or pachysandra. This will keep things looking nice and green - and you won't have to mow! Enjoy your landscape.
