Can over-wintered pentas be divided? The plant has gotten quite large and bushy having been inside all winter.

Pentas, the Egyptian Star Cluster, gets straggly if you fail to pinch out the stem tips regularly. Try pinching it back to about 18 inches. As long as you keep it indoors, the plant will continue to blossom and grow. Rather than dividing it, cut some of the stems back, dip the cut ends in rooting hormone, and start some new plants. Then keep the new plants well-pinched and they'll stay more attractive.
