The Q&A Archives: Caldium in Maine?

Question: Hello, I have a beautiful hosta garden at my house in Central Maine. I just purchased Caladium bulbs today. Will they be able to overwinter in Maine.

Answer: Caladiums are tropical in nature so the bulbs will need to be dug each fall and stored in an area that is cool but remains above freezing, then replanted in the spring.
