Our lawn (front and back) is very steep and we can't seem to get any grass to stay put. We,ve seeded, covered it with hay and
/or grass strips..nothing grows. Help.

If you have tried both seed and sod, it may be that the area is just too steep to hold enough water to help the grass root. You might need to terrace the area to provide a flat spot for grass to grow. Since I cannot see your landscape, I don't know what else to suggest. What are your neighbors doing with their sloping yards? Perhaps they can offer suggestions. Good luck with your landscape!
