My citrus trees were doing fine until my husband buried stakes 2ft from their trunk. Now they seem to be dying. He took the stakes out already. Thanks for any help. Izabel

Fertilizer stakes can concentrate salts in the soil, especially if several stakes were used around a single tree. In your case, I can only suggest that you water deeply once or twice a week to help leach the minerals out of the soil and away from the roots of your trees. If you can flood the soil under the dripline of the tree, this will help leach the fertilizer out, as well.

Hope this works!
