are there any varities of Camellias that can grow and survive in Iowa?

Even the hardiest of camellias won't survive Iowa winters, but you can grow them in containers and take them indoors over the winter months. They will not flower for you indoors, but they will survive and you can take them back outdoors in the springtime where they should grow and bloom for you. Best wishes with your garden!
