I have a small greenhouse with heat and grow lights. Should I have the grow lights on 24/7? And how long should I be using them?

Thanks in advance, Katrina

Plants need some resting time so don't leave the lights on 24 hours a day. 14-16 hours is fine. Turn the lights on as soon as the seeds sprout, and keep the light sources only 2-3 inches above the seedlings to keep them from growing spindly. If they have to reach for the light they will be weak. If the light is close, they will develop into sturdy seedlings. Move the lights up as the seedlings grow. Enjoy!
