I do save my seeds and since this will be the first year for me to grow both hot and sweet, how far apart do the plants need to be so they won't cross pollinate? thanks ann |
If your peppers cross pollinate, the seeds of the sweet varieties will produce sweet peppers with a bite or a little heat. To control this, either keep the plants at least 50' apart (maybe one type in the front yard and one type in the backyard?). Or, plan on purchasing fresh sweet pepper seeds each year.
