Are Madonna Lilies and Easter Lilies the same thing? If not, where can I purchase Madonna Lilies because they are hard to locate. I live in zone 8 and want to know if they can overwinter outdoors.

Madonna lily (botanical name Lilium candidum) is available from Carroll Gardens (1-800-638-6334); they are hardy in USDA zones 4 to 9, so they should overwinter fine in your region. By the way, the botanical name for Easter lily is Lilium longiflorum.
